Le Lézard is a 3 bedroom, 200 year old house located just off the main square in a pedestrian side street accessible only by residents cars.
The property is situated on a corner offering different views depending on which side of the house you are on.
The entrance to the house on the ground floor goes straight into a small hallway (large enough for coats, buggies, ski's or a couple of bikes for example) and then heads upstairs where the remaining accommodation is arranged over 3 floors.
On the first floor is the
The kitchen is modern and very well equipped. Although there's a breakfast table in here there is also a dining table in the adjoining room - take your choice! The kitchen is everything you'd expect from your kitchen at home, so if you feel like cooking a feast one day you'll find all the kit you need!
Here you'll find a hi-fi, full size TV and an assortment of books and DVD's. If you have young children we can lend you some suitable DVD's to tide them over (our eldest is 5 years old). There's a Juliet balcony in the sitting room offering views to the fountain in the square. On market day you'll find the stalls extending down the road from the square towards the house.
On the second floor is a:
This room looks towards the hills to the West. It's a large room with 2 comfortable single beds. If you have a baby we are able to loan a travel cot which can be swapped with one of the beds as necessary.
With a small balcony looking up to the square and fountain. Like all the other bedrooms, there is a full size wardrobe in here.
With a full size bath for a long soak after a days walking or ski-ing; and a shower attachment above.
The third floor offers:
With kingsize bed and gorgeous views to the hills in the distance. We love this room for it's characterful wooden door (mind your head on the way in!), curved ceiling and those views to die for (...great to wake up to - see our photo gallery!)
Equipped with a sink, fridge, washing machine and an iron and ironing board.
Truly the most used 'room' in the house. From here you look out over the roof tops of Prades to the mountains in the distance. You can people watch to your hearts content safe in the knowledge that people rarely look up! There is a dining table and chairs and a barbecue for your use
Prades is blessed with lots of (free) small car parks dotted around the town. As such, you have a choice of where to park. For short periods of time, for example unloading, it's possible to leave the car opposite the house with no problems (but not on market days). The nearest free car park is at the end of the road in which you find the house - about 150 metres away. The next is approx 250 metres away. There are others however, in 9 years we've always managed to park in one of these two, and generally the closest.
The only car park which is chargeable is in the main square, although that's also free at lunchtimes and Sundays. You can also park in the main square for one hour free of charge in the marked bays.
